when i open the http://localhost/ona the web site will give the error response,as the following:
Syntax error in your DB config file: C:\xampp\htdocs\ona\www/local/config/database_settings.inc.php
Please check that it contains a valid PHP formatted array, or check that you have the php cli tools installed.
You can perform this check maually using the command 'php -l C:\xampp\htdocs\ona\www/local/config/database_settings.inc.php'.

I have follwed the instruction, checked the syntax, it said there is no syntax error.
I don no konw how to solve this problem, someone help me! Thank you very much!

I notice you are trying to install under Windows. While ONA is simple PHP code, there are several things within it that were implemented in a way that will likely not work on windows.

It is likely that some effort could be made to fix up some of these issues so the core of ONA works under windows but that is low on my priority list and so far has not had much focus. I'm not currently aware of anyone who has successfully gotten ONA working on windows.

Your best bet is a linux VM. I hope to be getting a http://turnkeylinux.org image set up soon that will allow people to easily set up an ONA box.
