We have just released an update to template_merge. Go to the download page to get it. The downloads page is now accessable by everyone! Please download and play around with it. If there are any issues open a bug report in the bug tracker.

This version fixes the following:

• Endless loop issue when an unknown anchor tag is used
• Increment error status if an included file is not found
• Changed to the gethostbyname function for DNS lookups instead of using the unix ‘host’ command which is not terribly portable
