PLEASE backup your data before upgrading older versions to this latest version. There have been a lot of changes since the last release and more testing is still required.

This new version introduces XML based database management via the adodb PHP library. The beginning of a plugin framework is now active and more plugins will be released soon. The nmap based scan plugin is included by default. It requires a few extra install steps as outlined in the “manage plugins” dialog related to that plugin. Please provide feedback of any issues you may have.

For those of you using the reference design DNS and DHCP build scripts. These scripts may or may not continue to function with this new version. Some changes were made that could impact how these scripts function. It is possible you may need to install newer build scripts. Please thoroughly test that these build processes are still working.

Please note that when adding your first host you will encounter a message like

ERROR ⇒ This operation tried to create a PTR record that is the first in the 10.0.0.0 class A range. You must first create at least the following DNS domain: 10.in-addr.arpa. You could also create domains for class B or class C level reverse zones.

This simply means that you are adding a dns name for the first time that requires a reverse zone (PTR). It will automatically open the add domain dialog or you can go to “Menu→Edit→Add DNS domain”. The easiest way is to take the first octet of the IP you are adding (in this case 10) and create a domain called 10.in-addr.arpa.
