In larger environments VLAN-ranges may be assigned for different types of services. It would be nice to be able to create blocks of VLAN in the same way as IP-blocks are created for this purpose and also be able to see which VLAN are in this block. Some function to find the next avaiable VLAN id would be really nice.

Blocks should possible be defined either for each VLAN campus or should be created for every campus.

Please provide a little more detail on the situation you are referring to. I want to make sure that I understand your needs here. I've always managed my VLANs etc by naming them based on a certain structure. So I guess I've never needed a block type method at this level since the way I named the vlans provided the structure I needed.

I do agree about finding the next VLAN number would be nice. I'll have to put some thought into that one. Both of these are fairly low on the priority list for now however unless I get a bunch of votes for this task.
